Expressing his highest consideration and gratitude,
President Topi awarded some of the distinguished lawyers of the
country, for their important achievement in the field of justice
and their contribution in this field. President of the Republic
awarded the President of the Constitutional Court, Mr. Vladimir
Kristo the “Golden Naim Frashëri Order” with the motivation
“For special merits in the field of constitutional justice, his
contribution in distinguish studies of doctrine and the high
qualities shown on ruling one of the most important
constitutional institutions.

Participation in International Activities for the year 2008

On the invitation of the Head of High State Audit and the
People’s Advocate of the Republic of Albania, the State
Comptroller and Ombudsman of the State of Israel, Mr. Micha
Lindenstrauss, is paying a three day study visit in Albania.
Today, on 21.03.2008, Mr. Micha Lindenstrauss was welcomed by
the President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of
Albania, Dr. Vladimir Kristo. The meeting, which was held in a
very friendly atmosphere, was focused on the issues of
organization of judicial power in the respective countries, on
the particularities and specifics in the establishment and
functioning of the institution of the State Comptroller and
Ombudsman of the State of Israel, as well as on the
possibilities of further developing the relations of cooperation
between the institutions of justice in both of our countries.
After making a short description of the way of organization and
functioning of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of
Albania, the President Kristo made evident the fact that this
Court, in spite of its relatively new experience, has kept
making all the efforts to consolidate its case law, putting
itself to a very important place among the ranks of state
constitutional institutions.
In this meeting, Mr.
Micha Lindenstrauss, was accompanied even by the People’s
Advocate of Republic of Albania, Mr. Ermir Dobjani.
