Meeting of the President of the Constitutional Court of Albania with experts of the European Commission mission in Albania, June 18, 2015

The President of Constitutional Court, Mr. Bashkim Dedja held a working meeting with experts of the European Commission in Albania in the framework of the ongoing of justice reform process. The delegation of experts was headed by Mr. Gianluigi Pratola.

At this meeting, the President Dedja provided an overview of the organization and functioning of the Constitutional Court, its achievements and problems as well as the latest developments in the process of judicial reform, which is crucial for the consolidation of the rule of law and the protection of human rights and fundamental freedoms.

Participants in the meeting discussed and exchanged views about the improvement of the law that regulates the activity of the Constitutional Court, in order to guarantee the independence of the institution, based on the best experiences of the other countries.
