Participation of the Constitutional Court of Albania at the International Istanbul Law Congress, Istanbul, Turkey17-19 October 2016.

Upon invitation of the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Turkey, Mr. Bekir Bozdağ, the President of the Constitutional Court of Albania, Mr. Bashkim Dedja, accompanied by the Secretary General Mr. Kujtim Osmani, attended the International Istanbul Law Congress on 17-19 October 2016.

The International Istanbul Law Congress, a three-day event, brought together justice ministers, heads of supreme and constitutional courts, chief prosecutors, judges, prosecutors and other legal authorities and experts from different countries to discuss on several topics : Enhancing judicial cooperation, facilitating functioning of the judiciary and alternative dispute resolution;  Constitutional justice and the right to individual application; Mediation; Acceleration of  trial process and training of judiciary; Arbitration; Structure of Prosecutor's Office and effective investigation; Bilateral and multilateral international treaties; Legal remedies in the Law of Criminal Procedure Session; Social media, Civil and criminal responsibility; Legal challenges of refugees.

The opening speeches of the event were delivered by the Minister of Justice of Turkey Mr. Bekir Bozdağ, and by the President of the Republic of Turkey Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
