At the invitation of the President of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Albania, Mr. Bashkim Dedja, a delegation of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Romania consisting of the President of the Court Mr. Augustin ZEGREAN, judges Mr. Daniel Marius Morar and Mr. Tony GREBLA, and the Director of the Office of the President, Mrs. Oana RAICAN, made a working visit to the Constitutional Court of Albania from 27 to 30 May 2014.
In the framework of this visit, on May 27, 2014, the delegation of the Romanian Constitutional Court was received in a formal meeting by the Minister of Justice of the Republic of Albania, Mr. Nasip Naço.
On 28 May 2014, the Romanian delegation was received in a formal meeting in the premises of the Albanian Constitutional Court by the President of the Court Mr. Bashkim Dedja. The parties at the meeting expressed their willingness and institutional commitment to contribute to the further consolidation of good relations of bilateral cooperation between the two constitutional courts. This official reception was followed by a meeting with other members of the Constitutional Court in the Meeting Room.
A round table was organized in “Kotoni” Boutique Hotel on the topic "Constitutional review of normative acts by the Constitutional Court", attended by the constitutional judges of the two courts, as well as counsellors and administrative staff representatives of Albania's Constitutional Court. During the round table were made presentations from constitutional judges, Mr. Sokol Berberi, member of the Constitutional Court of Albania and Mr. Daniel Morar Marius, Mr. Tony GREBLA, members of the Constitutional Court of Romania. Participants exchanged knowledge and their respective experiences in the field of constitutional law.
On 28 and 29 May 2014, the delegation of Constitutional Court of Romania was received in official meetings by the Chief Justice of the High Court of Albania, Prof. Dr. Xhezair Zaganjori and by the President of the Republic of Albania, His Excellency Mr. Bujar Nishani.
In honour of the delegation of the Constitutional Court of Romania, the President of the Constitutional Court of Albania, Mr. Bashkim Dedja, hosted an official dinner which was attended also by the Ambassador of Romania in the Republic of Albania, His Excellency Mr. Viorel Stӑnilӑ.
