XVI Congress of the Conference of European Constitutional Courts, Vienna, May 12 - 14 2014.

XVI Congress of the Conference of European Constitutional Courts, organized by the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Austria, took place in Vienna, during 12 to 14 May 2014. At this event, the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Albania was represented by Mr. Bashkim Dedja, President of the Court, and Mr. Sokol Berberi, Judge.

Congresses, which are organized by the Conference of European Constitutional Courts every three years, constitute a pan - European forum extremely important for multilateral exchange of experiences and ideas within the European area.

Congress theme of this year was "The cooperation of the Constitutional Courts in Europe - current situation and future prospects".

In the context of the main theme of the Congress and on the basis of national reports submitted by each of the constitutional courts, Congress focused on three following sub-themes: "Constitutional Courts between Constitutional Law and European Law, Interaction between Constitutional Courts, and the interaction between the European Courts".
