Participation of the Constitutional Court of Albania in the activities organized on the occasion of the 56th anniversary of the Constitutional Court of Turkey. April 25-28, 2018.

At the invitation of the President of the Constitutional Court of Turkey, Prof. Dr. Zühtü Arslan, a delegation of the Constitutional Court of Albania, composed of Mr. Bashkim Dedja, President of the Constitutional Court, and Mr. Aleksandër Toma, Director of the Cabinet, attended the official ceremony as well as the symposium organized on the occasion of the 56th anniversary of the establishment of the Turkish Constitutional Court.
During the working sessions of this symposium on the "Evaluation of the five years of individual application in the Constitutional Court of Turkey", discussions were related to the effects of the individual application judgments on the interpretation of the Constitution and on the judicial system; effects of the judgments of the Constitutional Court on the judgments of the ECHR; and general evaluation and statistics on the individual application judgments.
In this activity, which was attended by presidents and judges of the constitutional courts from different countries, as well as academics in the field, President Dedja held a speech on the Albanian legislation and practice related to the topics of the symposium.
In honor of the participating delegations, the President of the Republic of Turkey, Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan hosted a gala dinner at the presidential complex.
