International Conference on the topic “The European legal standards of the rule of law and the scope of discretion of powers in the member states of the Council of Europe,” Erevan, Armenia, 3 – 5 July 2013

The President of the Constitutional Court of Albania, Mr. Bashkim Dedja, and the Chief of Cabinet, Mr. Aleksandër Toma, took part in the International Conference on the topic “The European legal standards of the rule of law and the scope of discretion of powers in the member states of the Council of Europe,” which was held in Erevan, Armenia, on 3 – 5 July 2013.
This conference, which was also attended by the President of the European Court of Human Rights, Mr. Dean Spielmann, President of the Venice Commission, Mr. Gianni Buquicchio, judges of the European Court of Human Rights, Presidents of the Constitutional Courts, Ministers of Justice from different countries, as well as Ombudsmen from the Eastern Europe and Central Asia, had in its focus discussions regarding different issues of constitutional justice.

The President of the Constitutional Court, Bashkim Dedja, held meetings with the highest Armenian state personalities: President of the Republic of Armenia, Mr. Serzh Sargsyan, Speaker of the National Assembly of Armenia, Mr. Hovik Abrahamyan and the President of the Constitutional Court of Armenia, Mr. Gagik Harutyunyan.
