Seminar on Implementation of Article 6 of the European Convention on Human Rights in the judicial process.

On December 5th, 2011, the Constitutional Court organized a seminar on "Management of the fair court trial. Article 6 of the European Convention on Human Rights," whose lecturers were Mr.Leo Zwaak - Professor of the Utrecht University, Netherlands, an expert in the field of human rights, and Dr. Idlir Peci. The seminar was attended by the legal advisers and administrative staff of the Constitutional Court.

Prof. Leo Zwaak gave a presentation on Article 6 of the ECHR, in both theoretical and practical point of view, focusing primarily on the treatment of civil cases, also giving examples on the cases examined by the European Court of Human Rights. In his presentation, Dr. Idlir Peci focused on handling of criminal cases pursuant to the requirements of Article 6 of the ECHR. During the workshop sessions, participants discussed and gave examples of implementation of Article 6 in the jurisprudence of Constitutional Court.
