Seminar on "Relations of the Constitutional Court with the media, the Constitutional Procedural Law and the protection of Human Rights.", Tirana 8 - 9 October 2015

The Constitutional Court of the Republic of Albania, with the support of the German Foundation "For International Legal Cooperation", organized a seminar on the topic "Relations of the Constitutional Court with the media, the Constitutional Procedural Law and the protection of Human Rights," with the participation of legal advisers and the administrative staff of the Court.

Lecturer of the seminar was Prof. Dr. January Bergmann, Presiding Judge at the Administrative Court of Stuttgart, Germany.

The welcome speeches were held by Dr. Rainer Deville, Head of EURALIUS Mission in Albania and Mrs. Elke Wendland, project manager at IRZ.

The issues addressed on the first day of the seminar focused on the Constitutional Court's active relationships with press, the accreditation of media representatives, the presence of electronic media in the courtroom; the constitutional procedural law (conflicts between organs, abstract and concrete control of norms, the constitutional complaint against the laws).

During the sessions of the second day of the seminar, the lecturer brought examples and discussed with the participants about some of the latest decisions of the ECHR related to the protection of Human Rights.
