Upon invitation of the President of the Constitutional Court of Turkey, Prof. Dr. Zühtü ARSLAN, the Constitutional Court of Albania, participated in the 8th summer school program organized by the Center for Training and Human Resources Development of the Association of Asian Constitutional Courts and Equivalent Institutions. This year's program was entitled "Restrictions of human rights and freedoms during a health emergency - the example of COVID-19" and was held online on 7 - 8 September, 2020. The Constitutional Court of Albania was represented at this event by Ms. Olta Aliaj, legal advisor at the court.
Each of the program participants gave a presentation on this topic by briefly analyzing the existing legislation and practice followed in their respective countries in the context of the situation created by the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as by providing a summary of court decisions reflecting the established case law.
