Meeting with experts of CEPEJ - the European Commission for the Efficiency of Justice, January 29, 2014
On January 29, 2014 the President of the Constitutional Court, Mr. Bashkim Dedja received in his office the CEPEJ experts and members of the Secretariat, Mr. Jacques Buehler, vice Secretary general of the Swiss Federal Court, and Prof. John T. Johnsen, of the Department of Public Law, Oslo University of Law.
CEPEJ representatives are conducting an assessment mission in Albania in from 27 to 30 January 2014, in the framework of the program entitled “Increase the efficiency of the Albanian justice system, in line with European standards”. The program is financed by the European Union and implemented by the Council of Europe. It aims to assist the judicial authorities in improving the efficiency and quality of the public service of courts available to the Albanian citizens, in accordance with European standards.
During the meeting, the representatives defined the detailed work plan and discussed with the President, Mr. Dedja, on issues of project implementation and the establishment of contacts and cooperation in the future.
