Upon the invitation of Mr. Linos - Alexandre Sicilianos, President of the European Court of Human Rights, a delegation of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Albania composed of Ms. Vitore Tusha, Acting President of the Court, and Ms. Alma Çomo, Head of the Department of Public and International Relations, took part in the activities organized on the occasion of the opening of the new judicial year of the European Court of Human Rights, which were held on 31 January 2020 in Strasbourg, France.
The topics of this year seminar were: "European Convention on Human Rights: a Living Instrument of 70 Years" - 1. "A Living Instrument: Evolutionary Doctrine", 2. "Gender Equality", 3. "Environment" and 4. "Science and Technology."
The seminar was followed by the solemn session of the opening of the new judicial year 2020, where Mr. Linos - Alexandre Sicilianos, President of the European Court of Human Rights held a welcoming speech to all the invited participants. The Guest of Honor of this solemn session was Mr. Frank Clarke, President of the Supreme Court of Ireland, who delivered a speech to all the representatives of the highest courts from the 47 member states of the Council of Europe, as well as to other local, national and international authorities.
