Participation of the Constitutional Court of Albania in the 8th Conference of Heads of Institutions Member of ACCPUF, Moldova, 28-30 September 2016.
Upon invitation of Association of Constitutional Courts using the French Language ACCPUF – (Association des Cours Constitutionnelles ayant en Partage l’Usage du Francais), a delegation of the Constitutional Court of Albania consisting of the President of this court, Bashkim Dedja, and Thomaida Xhoxhaj, senior specialist in the Department of Public and International Relations participated in the 8th Conference of Heads of Institutions Member of ACCPUF, that took place in Chisinau, Moldova, from 28 to 30 September 2016.
For organizing this conference ACCPUF collaborated with the Constitutional Court of Moldova, under the auspices of the President of the Court, Alexandru Tănase. At the solemn ceremony of opening of the conference the welcoming speeches were delivered by the President of the Republic of Moldova, Nicolae Timofti, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, Pavel Filip, the President of the Federal Supreme Court of Switzerland and as well Chairman of ACCPUF, Gilbert Kolly, and the Head of the Constitutional Justice Division of the Venice Commission, Schnutz Dürr.
The 8th Conference of Heads of Institutions Member of ACCPUF dealt with audi alterem partem principle in judicial proceedings. Representatives of constitutional courts brought the experience of their countries and discussed minutely the organization of fair hearing proceedings.
Association of Constitutional Courts using the French Language (ACCPUF) aims at strengthening the cooperation and exchange of experiences in the field of constitutional law and brings together about 40 constitutional courts and equivalent institutions from Africa, Europe, America and Asia.
