Roundtable of the Constitutional Courts of Albania and Montenegro at the Constitutional Court of Austria, Vienna, November 5 - 6, 2015

At the invitation and the initiative of the President of the Constitutional Court of Austria, Prof. Gerhart Holzinger, a joint roundtable was organized in Vienna, on November 5 - 6, 2015 with the participation of the Constitutional Court of Austria, the Constitutional Court of Albania and the Constitutional Court of Montenegro.
 
In this very important event, the Constitutional Court of Albania was represented by a delegation composed of the President, Bashkim Dedja, the judges, Vladimir Kristo, Vitore Tusha, and the Secretary General, Kujtim Osmani.
 
The delegation of the Constitutional Court of Montenegro was composed of the President Desanka Lopičić, the judge Budmir Šćepanović, and the adviser to the President, Dragica Davidović.
Working sessions of this roundtable were organized on the main papers presented by the representatives of the tree constitutional courts and on interventions and discussions related to the respective topics which focused on important and actual issues of constitutional justice.
 
President Dedja treated the theme "Constitutional judgment and administrative judgment – the limits defining the differences between them according to the Albanian legislation", President Lopičić presented the topic "The effectiveness of the protection of human rights and freedoms - normative framework and practice", and judge of the Constitutional Court of Austria, Ingrid Siess-Scherz, "Forms of constitutional review - review of statutes and regulations (international treaties), the applications by Courts and individuals; complaints procedure; constitutional review of political parties".
 
To honour the delegations of Constitutional Courts of Albania and Montenegro, the Constitutional Court of Austria organized a social program with visits in most interesting places representing historical and cultural traditions.
