Seminar on the Common European Asylum System (CEAS), 21-22 April 2016
The Constitutional Court of the Republic of Albania, with the support of the German Foundation for International Legal Cooperation (IRZ), organized the seminar on the topic "The Common European Asylum System (CEAS)".
The seminar was attended by legal advisers and administrative staff of the Constitutional Court. Lecturer of the seminar was Prof. Dr. Jan Bergmann, chairman of the Senate at the Administrative Court of Baden-Württemberg, Germany and Professor of European law.
The welcome speeches were held by the Head of EURALIUS Mission in Albania, Dr. Rainer Deville, the Deputy Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany in Albania, Anke Holstein, the project manager at IRZ, Elke Wendland, and the Chief of Cabinet of the President of Constitutional Court of Albania, Aleksandër Toma.
On the first day of the seminar the participants discussed on the European system of protection of refugees, the Common European Asylum System and implementation of this system from the EU countries (the example of Germany) and during the second day of the seminar they addressed the actual measures that the European Commission is taking to reform the Dublin system.
