Based on the bilateral memorandum of understanding between the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Albania and the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Turkey, from 2 to 6 November 2014, a delegation of the Constitutional Court, composed of Ms. Elsa Toska - Adviser of the President, Ms. Valbona Bala - Advisor of judges, Ms. Fiona Papajorgji - judges and Ms. Jonida Kondili - Assistant of the President, participated in a study program at the Constitutional Court of Turkey. This program was focused on the exchange of experiences related to the role, functions, employment status and daily work practices of the advisers of constitutional judges. This program permitted also the presentation with the developments, achievements and problems of constitutional jurisprudence.
During the stay in Turkey, on 3 November 2014, the delegation of the Constitutional Court of Albania was received in an official meeting at the premises of the Turkish Constitutional Court by the President of this Court, Mr. Hasim Kilic. At this meeting, the delegation stressed the importance of strengthening the relations between the two constitutional courts in order to exchange experiences on issues of constitutional review and also thanked the President of this court for the impressive hospitality.
At the end of the study visit, the delegation was awarded certificates of appreciation for the dedication and the seriousness in pursuing the three days professional program.
