On 28–29 March 2024, a delegation of judges from the Constitutional Court of Albania and the Supreme Court of Albania held an official visit to the United States of America. During this visit the judges had official meetings with high representatives of the justice institutions in Washington D.C., USA.
The meetings were mainly focused on the progress of the justice system reform in Albania and the paramount importance of its successful implementation for having an efficient and independent judicial system, with a view to increasing the public trust in justice institutions, and moving forward on the path of Albania's membership in the European Union.
The high-ranked officials of the Department of Justice and the Department of State expressed their willingness to continue the support offered by the USA for the successful implementation of the justice system reform and increasing the credibility of Albanian judiciary.
Furthermore, during the visit to Washington D.C., the Albanian delegation was received at the American Bar Association (ABA) and Georgetown University, and also visited the Library of Congress (the Albanian language section).
