The President of the Constitutional Court of Albania, Mr. Bashkim Dedja, received in an official meeting in the premises of this court a delegation from the Court of Cassation of Turkey which is visiting Albania in the framework of cooperation with our Supreme Court.
The delegation was headed by the First President of the Court of Cassation of Turkey, Mr. Ismail Rüstü Cirit, and consisted of several Heads of the Civil and Criminal Chambers of this court, judges, rapporteurs, as well as the Deputy Secretary General of the court.
President Dedja informed the members of the Turkish delegation about the organization and functioning of the Constitutional Court of Albania and the current situation of the justice system reform in Albania.
The President of the Court of Cassation of Turkey, Mr. Ismail Rüştü Cirit, considered the justice system reform in Albania as a difficult process and encouraged the resumption of the decision-making process of the Constitutional Court as soon as possible.
Both presidents expressed their mutual positive assessments regarding the excellent institutional cooperation that exists between the two countries in the field of justice and at the same time the good will for its continuation.
The meeting was also attended by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Albania, Mr. Xhezair Zaganjori, as well as the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey in Albania, Mr. Murat Ahmet Yȫrük.
