XXth International Congress of Comparative and European Constitutional Law, Gdańsk, Poland, 21 and 22 September 2018.

Upon invitation of Prof. dr. dres.h.c. mult. Rainer Arnold, Head of the Jean Monnet Chair and Secretary General of the European Constitutional Law Network, and Prof. dr. hab. Andrzej Szmyt, professor at the Faculty of Law of the University of Gdańsk, a delegation of the Constitutional Court of Albania, composed of Mr. Bashkim Dedja, President of the Court, Mr. Aleksandër Toma, Head of the President’s Cabinet, and Mrs. Arta Vorpsi, legal advisor at this Court, participated in the XXth International Congress of Comparative and European Constitutional Law, which was held in Gdansk, Poland on September 21th and 22th, 2018.
For several years, the Constitutional Court of Albania has participated in this international event, which gives the opportunity not only to deepen the knowledge in various fields of law, but also to discuss the current constitutional developments with constitutional judges and distinguished academics from different countries. The theme of this year's Congress was: "Developments of constitutional law through constitutional justice: historical decisions and their impact on constitutional culture".
During the proceedings of this Congress Dr. Arta Vorpsi held a presentation on "The efforts of the constitutional court to influence the constitutional culture - Reflections related to the human dignity and the lustration law.
