In the framework of the cooperation with the Foundation SLYNN, the President of Constitutional Court, Mr. Bashkim Dedja, met in an official meeting the representatives of this Foundation, Sir David Latham and Mrs. Alison Fenney.
The purpose of this meeting was to discuss the reforms in the judicial system and to give concrete expression to the immediate future cooperation (year 2014 -2015) between the Constitutional Court of Albania and the Slynn Foundation.
Offering his willingness to this cooperation in the domain of constitutional justice, Mr. Dedja presented some of the fields where the assistance of the Slynn Foundation might be focused, such as the periodic publication of the Constitutional Court decisions; the enrichment of the Court library with the most important practices of the Court of Strasbourg or other collections of different institutions of constitutional justice; the continuation of training for supporting staff and legal advisors of this Court.
Mr. David Latham was very pleased about the continuance of the collaboration with the Constitutional Court of Albania and ready to fulfil the commitment and to offer concrete assistance of the Foundation he represents.
Mr. Dedja thanked the representatives Foundation for the positive spirit of this cooperation.
This meeting was attended also by the Ambassador of the UK in Albania, Mr. Nicholas Cannon OBE.
